Q: How does the Brimbank Bicycle Education Centre interact with the community?

We receive great local support and would like to acknowledge our Brimbank Ward Councillors, the Lions Club of Taylors Lakes, the former Rotary Club of Brimbank Central,  and the Green Gully Soccer Club (they have a great bistro!) for support and donations to help us with our work.

Q: Who runs the Brimbank Bicycle Education Centre?

Our Centre is managed by a team of dedicated volunteers who since August 2014 have raised over $460,000 to  redevelop the centre and improve the buildings, its facilities, traffic lights, road markings and bicycle riding tracks.

Q: What bicycle programs do you offer?

Our Programs at the Brimbank Bicycle Education centre include:

  • Bicycle Education Excursions for Pre-School and Primary School Age Children during school hours on Wednesdays during school hours.                                           
  • A monthly Public Riding Program for those who can ride and where we teach children and adults how to ride and educate their parents as well.   
  • School Holiday Programs during the holidays 
  • We have a special needs program for those with a disability that runs every Tuesday and Thursday - we have purpose built bicycle and trikes available for use.       
  • We hold after school programs in conjunction with disability organisations for children with special needs 
  • We have a Youth Personal Development Program teaching young people a range of important life skills                                                                                                                     

Q: What facilities do you offer?

We have a safe secure, fully enclosed 2 acre site plus a fully enclosed undercover area of 100 square metres (fully enclosed) with many facilities including BBQ, tables and chairs, plus a fully equipped kitchen, 4 Unisex Toilets (inc one for disabled guests) and many other facilities. (see photos of our undercover area and the kitchen area in the Photo Gallery). Under COVID rules we are a Community Facility with no patron caps.

Q: What groups can use your facilities?

We can accomodate children's birthday parties, family celebrations and community group hire.
